Announced as Patron of the Conservatoire of Scotland's Junior Orchestra
Life comes full circle as Patrick Doyle is announced as new Patron of the orchestra which founded his musical career. He originally joined the orchestra aged 17 as a tuba player, and made life-long friends and memories. In his new role Patrick Doyle is committed to nurture the “next generation of musical talent”.

“Music from the Movies” birthday concerts
Richard E Grant and Peter Capaldi helped Patrick Doyle co-host two birthday concerts in Edinburgh and Glasgow, featuring film and concert music from across his glittering career, performed by the Royal Scottish National orchestra to raise funds for the organisation’s work with communities across Scotland.

Kraków Film Music Festival hosts a concert of Patrick Doyle’s music
In the beautiful city of Katowice, the Kraków Film Music Festival will host a concert of Patrick Doyle’s music. The evening’s programme will include pieces of music from his biggest films, including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Cinderella and Sense and Sensibility.

Nominated for an Ivor Novello
Patrick Doyle has been nominated for an Ivor Novello Award for Best Original Film Score for “Death on the Nile”. He won an Ivor Novello award for his first film score for “Henry V” in 1989.

Commissioned to compose King Charles III’s ‘Coronation March’
Patrick Doyle has been commissioned to compose the ‘Coronation March’ for the Coronation of the King and Queen. Following an incredible lineage of renowned composers such as Handel, Elgar and Walton, Patrick Doyle’s brand new piece entitled “King Charles III Coronation March” will be performed at Westminster Abbey on 6th May 2023.
